If you think that smoking is not addictive, that cigarettes are a good way to control your weight, and that cigarettes really aren't such a bad habit, we've got news for you.
Women have become addicted to cigarettes over the years, and the tobacco industry has become addicted to women. The industry has spent billions of dollars to get women hooked on one of the most destructive substances in existence.
Cigarette smoking claims the lives of 430,000 Americans each year. Approximately 152,000 are women.
Christy Turlington, a former smoker and one who lost her father to lung cancer, joins the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in a video presentation that takes us inside the tobacco industry and gives us a good look at the myths that cigarette manufacturers use to target women.
